Nacht und Spuk: Concert at Festspiele Mecklenburg - Vorpommern Festival at the Zarrentin Cloisters, Germany

Rachel is delighted to return to Germany as part of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele. The concert will feature chilling repertoire for the fall season alongside Leslie Leon, mezzo-soprano, Till Schulze, baritone, and German stage actress, Helga von Wangenheim - with Raminta Lampsatis at the piano. 

That's Amore! Music of Italy to the Americas

This concert celebrates the legacy of Italian music and the traditions it brought to the New World, inspiring its diverse musical roots on the continents of the Americas.  Rachel will be joined by Pablo Gimenez, classical guitar. They perform a spectrum of vocal and instrumental works from light opera classics to Italian-inspired selections from Broadway, jazz, Latin and American popular music.  

Cantos de las Americas - Concert

Join us for the South Country Library’s annual celebration of Hispanic Heritage with The New York City trio. Classical guitarist Jordan Dodson will also be featured. The concert covers a wide range of Spanish music: from bolero, folk, flamenco, Broadway, jazz, and popular music. Music of Albéniz, Bernstein, Bor, Chapí, Granados, Grever, Jobim, Lara, Lorca, Piazzolla, Turina, Velasquez, Viardot and more.

Lenny @ 100: Bernstein Concerts

On Saturday March 24th, 2018, Rachel sang alongside Millennium Chamber Symphony, giving a standing-room-only performance at Lincoln Center, Lenny @ 100. The concert included a wide range of iconic pieces from the repertoire of Leonard Bernstein. Rachel will also continue to celebrate of the composer's works by singing in outreach concerts throughout NY.

Women Trailblazers: Composers Then and Now

Celebrating the women's centennial, players of the Millennium Chamber Symphony and dance company, ENCOUNTERS, will perform an international array of musical styles by female composers of the last three centuries with a special tribute to Jerome Robbins to close out the centennial exhibition series at the Performing Arts Library. The concert took place at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center

Mozart Abend: Bergerdorefer Sommerfestival at Bergedorfer Schloss, Hamburg

Circe's Consort: Music from 17th Century Spain for Voice and Baroque Guitar

Music from 17th Century Spain for Voice and Baroque Guitar: This Early Music concert presents songs of love, devotion and jealousy sung in Spanish by soprano Rachel Elezi and played on baroque guitar by Annalisa Ewald. The concert will be presented as part of United Christian Parish of Reston's Concert Series.  

Circe's Consort is an ensemble exploring seldom-heard baroque music from Spain, Italy, France and England, inviting new audiences into unfamiliar classical terrain. In Circe's Consort, program notes are spoken while presenting the music in a context which invites new audiences into unfamiliar classical terrain. While the baroque guitar, theorbo, and harp form the core of the group, a wonderful cast of singers, rising stars all,  rotate through several programs.

Sugrįžimai' 2018 International Music Festival

Lenny @ 100: A Leonard Bernstein Centennial Concert

LENNY @ 100 is a newly conceived Millennium Chamber Symphony production, featuring highlights from West Side Story and Candide, plus chamber works and humorous arts songs. This concert is in conjunction with the exhibition collection curated by the LA Grammy Museum and will take place at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center.

A Celebration of Leonard Bernstein’s Broadway Music

A centennial salute to Leonard Bernstein is a newly staged ensemble program highlighting his Broadway and film music from West Side Story, On the Waterfront, Candid and On the Town to his instrumental works and witty vocal songs. With readings from Bernstein’s Young People’s Concert at Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic and his inspiring book, The Joy of Music. This concert will be an outreach program at East Meadow Public Library In Long Island, New York.

Rachel will be premiering new scenes and arias from composer Wendy Griffith's opera, The Crimson Sand,  a one-act Opera Noir based on the real life murders that haunt an East Coast seaside community.

NAXOS Records: Jane Eyre

Naxos Record label is recording and releasing the original cast recording of Louis Karchin's opera, Jane Eyre. The entire original cast is reuniting for the recording. 

Prima del Calcio di Rigore, Art Exhibition

The Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York is hosting the kick off  event for the international tour of the exhibition, Prima del Calcio di Rigore/Before the Penalty Kick by artist Antonio Lai da Teulada. Mr. da Teulada's tour will begin at the Maironis Museum of Literature in Kaunas, Lithuania and to the presentation “Soccer in Lithuania: 2020 strategy and social goals”. Ms. Elezi will take part in a musical installation directed by soprano Darynn Zimmer.

The New York Continuo Collective will be performing a variety of different staged Baroque and Renaissance Zarzuelas at the Boston Early Music Festival, under the music direction of Grant Herreid and stage direction of Paul Shipper. Selva encantada de Amor was written in 1705 by Sebastian Durón.
